“Some people go through their life and never really get to enjoy the results of a good vacuum cleaner.”

My first vacuum cleaner I remember, my mother bought it brand new! It was a Filter Queen. The motor ran so quiet that you could hear the air flow up the hose. The filter was in the shape of a cone… that must’ve been genius. I liked it ’cause it was a canister and I had fun rolling it around on the hard wood floors. All the attachments made it interesting cleaning everything.

There were 2 things I didn’t like:

- It did’t get the cat hair out of the Living room carpet very well…

- And, it was PINK!

“Don’t they come in any other color?’” The answer was a painful, “No.”

I was a little boy worried about his manhood. I could always say that I was just vacuuming to help Mom out. Besides I liked being a good helper.

Maybe, somebody else could do the dishes.

All that, I never thought it would lead to a quest to find all the perfect vacuums.
